The University of Luzon Students in Free Enterprise (UL SIFE) is the lone winner from Pangasinan declared as League First Runner-Up in the recently-concluded SIFE National Competition held at the Asian Institute of Management, Makati City, last July 17, 2009.

Commission on Higher Education Chairman Emmanuel Y. Angeles, Department of Environment and Natural Resources Secretary Jose L. Atienza, Jr., SIFE International Regional Vice President Dennis Lee and Pilipinas SIFE Chairman Jose P. Leviste, Jr. along with other national and international corporate executives graced this illustrious occasion in support of the promotion of social entrepreneurship via financial literacy and entrepreneurial development and in celebration of the accomplishments of SIFE Teams like Mariano Marcos State University, Sultan Kudarat Polytechnic State College, Baliuag University, San Beda College and others.

This annual event of bringing together the top leaders of today and tomorrow to create a better, more sustainable world through the positive power of business convened more than 20 higher education institutions across the country under the auspices of the Pilipinas SIFE Movement is a prelude to the 2009 World Cup in Berlin Germany this October.
